A graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Mitchell brings over 15 years of clinical experience to Great Pyrenees Love, combining her professional expertise with a deep understanding of large breed dogs’ unique needs.

Her journey in veterinary medicine began at the University of California, Davis, where she completed her undergraduate studies before pursuing her veterinary degree. Now leading a thriving practice in Vermont, Dr. Mitchell specializes in large breed dogs, with particular expertise in mountain dog breeds and their specific health requirements.
Through Great Pyrenees Love, she shares her wealth of knowledge to help fellow Great Pyrenees owners provide the best possible care for their gentle giants. Her articles cover everything from puppy development and training to nutrition and breed-specific health considerations.
